In front of you is a special product. Carefully prepared, rich in content and based on learning about the Old Slovene cultural tradition from the hands of Kaja Horvat.
Kaja Horvat, a graduate designer of visual communications, has spent the last year researching and delving into the mysterious history of Slovene ancient religion. Her main interest was a different perception of nature and all that exists, which was based on a sense of connection and responsibility, which she finds crucial to remember today. She presented this different perception through a designed and illustrated diary for 2022.
As part of the diary, 12 illustrations were created concerning the Slovene Old Believer perception of the annual cycle. These are also described in the diary. The diary allows you to: getting to know the old Slovenian cultural heritage as a way of life lived by our ancient religious ancestors, learning about a different perception of nature based on respect, which is especially necessary in the current time of impending natural change, transparent space for filling and planning in 2022, can be carried because of its small size and convenience.

The illustration technique is innovative and original.
Most of the illustrations were created by evaporating coffee from paper, which creates unique forms, which Maja shaped into the desired shapes with the help of digital collage.

Kaja Horvat, graduate designer of visual communications
at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.
In addition to illustration and graphic design, her great interests
are in the field of ethnology, anthropology and philosophy,
which she tries to combine in her works.
